The Maltese Islands lie at near geographic centre of the Mediterranean.  In fact, this strategic position is the very reason for the archipelago’s eventful history.  And it’s the reason why Malta today is an ideal get-away destination for conference and incentive groups. 

Few places evoke the feeling of being away from it all as much as Islands; especially those surrounded by clear, blue seas and with near year-round sunshine.  Yet for all its feeling of escapism, the Maltese Islands are within easy reach of European capitals  - at around two to three hours’ flying time - and have excellent connections further afield.  

Malta is in essence also the heart of Europe.  Although a new member of the European Union, Malta could lay claim to being the melting pot of Europe and a first experiment in multiculturalism.  A twist of history in 1530 saw the arrival of the Knights of St John in Malta, and among them were representatives of nearly all Europe’s nationalities and cultures.
